Toyota Driver Pretends to Leave Note After Accident

Also in local crime calls, a suspicious van turned out to be delivering newspapers.

TRAFFIC HAZARD

  • 07/03/2013 — 1:35 p.m. —Pacific Coast Highway — A small brown vehicle parked on southbound Pacific Coast Highway had large orange cones around it. The caller thought it was suspicious because vehicles don't regularly carry large orange cones. A second caller said it looks like the driver of the brown vehicle was setting up a camera to look into the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.

TRAFFIC COLLISION NON-INJURY

  • 07/03/2013 — 3:13 p.m — Seal Beach Boulevard — A gray Toyota Sienna hit a parked white Infiniti in a parking lot. The Sienna driver allegedly “pretended to leave a note” and left the scene, according to the caller, but when the driver saw the caller, the driver came back.

  • 07/03/2013 — 5:50 p.m. — Montecito Road — A woman accused two people in a nearby residence of using and dealing drugs.

PATROL CHECK

  • 07/03/2013 — 7:34 p.m. — 6th Street — Six or seven juveniles were playing in an alley way and “being loud,” a caller said. The caller thinks the juveniles might get hit by vehicles pulling out of the garages.

SUSPICIOUS OCCUPIED VEHICLE

  • 07/03/2013 — 10:27 p.m. — Ironwood Avenue and Dogwood Avenue — A white full-sized van was driving slow and possibly casing a neighborhood, a caller said. The van was described as old and with a loud motor. It turned to be a vehicle delivering newspapers.
