Three Seal Beach police officers suffered minor injuries in a scuffle with a man they ultimately arrested.

At 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 1100 block of Electric Avenue in response to a report that people were “screaming and physically fighting near the greenbelt,” said Sgt. Philip Gonshak.

In trying to subdue the suspect, identified as Anthony Olson, 25, the three officers were injured, according to a Seal Beach Police Department press release.

All three were transported to Los Alamitos Medical Center, treated and released, officials said.

Olson was arrested on the suspicion of assault and battery on a police officer.

I'm really sorry they didn't shoot the idiot. Of course, if they had, they probably would have been blamed.

April Olson3 minutes ago Anthony Olson called his wife at the time of this incident and told her not to believe what she heard. He has never been arrested what so ever and He is the most responsible respectful man I know. He and two other witnesses tell a very different story than the papers. I hope he gets the attention of proper investigation.

The SBPD are always professional and respectful. I have never once witnessed and Officer act inapproiate toward ever the most unruly citizen. I will believe the three cops account of what happened over 25 year old Anthony Olson who was likely acting like a fool. Good job SBPD, thanks for keeping us safe at night !

I honestly believe SBPD are as you say.I spoke with one of the officers. Involved, however this is truely a case of unfortunate circumstance . Anthony had only a couple beers according to two impartial witness, however he remembered absolutely nothing about the incident. I wish I could say more than just this but can not at the time. Hats off to SBPD for keeping the community safe. This was a special case with unfortunate circumstances.
