Three-Car Crash Reported on Pacific Coast Highway and 8th Street

Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls listed by the Seal Beach Police Department recently.

TRAFFIC COLLISION

  • 11/13/2012 — 7:14 a.m. — Pacific Coast Highway and 8th Street — Three cars were involved in a crash. One of them was a black Mercedes and one of the others was a Toyota Scion, now with front-end damage. The Orange County Fire Authority was en route.  

LOBBY

  • 11/13/2012 — 9 a.m. — Ocean Avenue — Someone stole a gray Schwinn 10-speed men’s bike from an unlocked garage.

  • 11/13/2012 — 10:12 a.m. — Monterey Road — A caller said someone in Jamaica was calling the caller’s elderly mother and trying to get money. The caller had become extremely aggressive and threatening over the phone. The caller said the mother’s phone number would be changed tonight.

  • 11/13/2012 — 10:14 a.m. — Main Street — A man said he was receiving “harassing notes” on his vehicle in regard to parking issues.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

  • 11/13/2012 — 10:58 a.m. —  Annandale and Golden Rain — A black four-door Hyundai allegedly drove into a post in a carport.  The caller followed the man into Leisure World. The driver was described as a balding man in his 60s with gray hair and a beard. The caller, a security guard, asked the man to stop and wait. The caller said the man appeared disoriented or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
