Super Bowl DUI Patrols Nab 4 Locals, 43 Overall
Los Alamitos residents account for nearly 10% of Orange County arrests during a countywide crackdown on Sunday.
A 38-agency crackdown on drunk driving on Super Bowl Sunday produced 43 arrests in Orange County, including four Los Alamitos residents, officials said.
"Officers representing 38 Orange County law enforcement agencies arrested 43 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs," according to a statement.
No DUI-related deaths were reported in Orange County that day, officials said.

Next up: St. Patrick's Day. Officials said they would step up anti-DUI operations throughout the county and region during St. Paddy festivities in March.
Grant funding for the patrols are provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
