Rush Hour SigAlert Ties Up 405

A two-car crash is expected to keep the No. 4 lane closed for more than an hour.

A SigAlert has the north 405 Freeway tied up just north of Bolsa Chica Road, heading into Seal Beach.

The SigAlert was expected to remain in effect until about 5:30 p.m. A red Mini Cooper and a white Ford focus crashed just after 4 p.m. At this point, it remains unclear if there were any serious injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers are still investigating the scene and clearing the debris, which is blocking the No. 4 lane.

With so many people buying new cars you can see on the streets, there are probably too many cars and speeding cars on streets and freeways. The new metro lines will help people and eventually all the way to Santa Monica beach. Back in the early 1950s we had city to city transportation by rail--but people wanted to buy cars to move out to suburbs and got rid of the rail lines. So now we are moving to Plan B and the new expanding metro rail systems.
