Rossmoor Residents Gather at Neighborhood Watch Meeting
About 50 people gathered earlier this month at a Neighborhood Watch meeting in Rossmoor to learn more about how to protect their homes.
The residents on Quail Run Road got together for a coffee meeting on Aug. 3 as part of the Rossmoor Homeowners Association's Neighborhood Watch program. Dorothy Fitzgerald, chair of the group's Neighborhood Watch Committee, said the meeting was useful for everyone.
"This gave an opportunity for neighbors to meet each other, share information, and sign up to participate in their Neighborhood Watch block if they had not already done so," Fitzgerald said.

Along with the residents, Sheriff’s Deputy Sonja Tipantiza attended the meeting. Fitzgerald said she gave safety tips, and answered questions and addressed concerns related to crime.
The Quail Run Road Neighborhood Watch is made up of 24 families, but the group hopes to have more people participate.
