Rossmoor Man Missing for a Week, Deputies Seek Public's Help

Michael Gal's car was left in Long Beach, but he was nowhere to be found.

A 41-year-old Rossmoor man has gone missing, and Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are hoping the public can help them find him.

Michael A. Gal has not been seen in a week, officials said.

He is described as 6-feet tall, 230 pounds with salt-and-pepper hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark, short-sleeved polo shirt, khaki shorts and blue tennis shoes, according to a sheriff’s department alert.

“Mr. Gal was last seen on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 7 a.m. at his residence in Rossmoor,” states a department press release. “His last contact was made to a family member via text message at 4 p.m.”

Family members are concerned because they say Gal has been under extreme stress lately, officials report.

Long Beach police officers located Gal’s vehicle on Thursday, near El Dorado Park, but Gal was nowhere to be found. 

Anyone with information regarding Mr. Gal’s whereabouts or with information they believe may assist in the investigation is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at 714-647-7000.  Anonymous tips may also be submitted to OC Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS (855-847-6227) or occrimestoppers.org.
