A 60-year-old taxi driver accused of sexually assaulting a customer had rape charges dropped today and pleaded no contest to burglary.
Orland Bruce Bosley was sentenced to 13 days in jail and placed on formal probation for three years, according to court records.
One count each of rape, rape by use of drugs and rape of an unconscious person, all felonies, were dismissed. Bosley pleaded no contest to a felony count of second-degree burglary, according to court records.
Bosley had been accused of raping a 45-year-old woman he picked up July 6, 2010. The woman called A White & Yellow Cab Inc. for a ride home after drinking in Sunset Beach that night, according to prosecutors.
Bosley picked up the woman and drove her to her mother's home in Seal Beach, where she was staying while her mother was out of town, prosecutors said when Bosley was charged.
As the woman looked for money to pay her fare, Bosley was accused of attacking her, prosecutors previously alleged.
