Police Suspect Children's Camp Operator of Lewd Acts

Scott Durzo ran sports programs and camps for children from Seal Beach, Surfside, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Los Altos, Long Beach, Cypress and Huntington Beach.

The 49-year-old operator of a sports camp for children was arrested today on suspicion of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a juvenile in 2006, and police asked for any other victims to come forward.

Scott Durzo, owner of  Total Sport Camp, was arrested today, Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak said, adding that he expected Durzo to be charged within 48 hours.

He declined to say if the alleged victim, who was younger than 14 at the time, was a boy or a girl.

Durzo ran sports programs and camps for children from Seal Beach, Surfside, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Los Altos, Long Beach, Cypress and Huntington Beach, according to police.

Before opening the sports camp, Durzo was a basketball coach at Los Alamitos High  School in Los Alamitos.
