Long Beach police today released an image of a man arrested on suspicion of contacting a 14-year-old girl for sex in the hope that any other victims would come forward.
Anthony Christopher Sota, 40, of Anaheim, was arrested Nov. 26 and booked on two felony counts of "contacting a minor for lewd acts," Long Beach police said.
Sota, who also uses the name De La Sota, was a “travel softball coach” for the girl's’team when he allegedly sent the 14-year-old lewd messages aimed at meeting her for sex in October, but he is not associated with any school, police said.
Sota, now free on bail, may have committed similar crimes, and detectives asked that any other victims call Detective Sean Irving at (562) 570-7368.
