Police Looking for Seal Beach Bank Robbery Suspect

A man robs the Bank of America on Main Street in Seal Beach and gets away with cash.

Seal Beach police on Tuesday asked for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Bank of America on Seal Beach's Main Street.

According to police, Seal Beach officers responded to an alarm at the bank at 208 Main Street at around 1:23 p.m. Monday and discovered that the bank had been robbed. Police said a man wearing a blue button down shirt allegedly passed a note to a teller and then walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was able to escape from the area without detection and no getaway vehicle was seen. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, 48-50 years old measuring 5 feet 9 inches in height.

Police said the man could be linked to another recent bank robbery in the Orange County area.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Seal Beach police Det. Gary Krogman at 562-799-4100 ext. 1108. Wells Fargo said it is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
