VANDALISM
- 01/28/13 — 9:50 a.m. — Golden Rain Road — A suspect keyed a red Toyota Prius, causing about $700 damage to the hood and the driver’s side door. The caller said vandalism occurred sometime in the last few weeks
ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLE
- 01/28/13 — 10:52 a.m. — Westminster Avenue — Someone parked a gray four-door Infinity with a handicapped placard in a handicapped parking spot. Officers gave out a ticket.
WELFARE CHECK
- 1/28/13 — 2:21 p.m. — Seal Beach Blvd. — A long-haired young woman, possibly in her mid-20s, was seen holding a baby and sign asking for money. She left before police arrived.
COYOTE
- 1/28/13 — 6:09 p.m. — Candleberry Street — A coyote was seen at about 6:45 p.m. Dispatch reported the call to Long Beach Animal Care Services.
PHONE SCAM
- 1/29/13 — 9:58 a.m. — A man called a woman and identified himself as a federal officer before asking for about $1,033.
