Person Cuts Los Alamitos Resident's Utility Line

Here is the latest weekly crime summary from the Los Alamitos Police Department.

Editor's Note: This blotter is from the Los Alamitos Weekly Crime Summary from the city Police Department for Oct. 7 to Oct. 13.

STOLEN VEHICLE

10/12/12 – 4:42 PM – 10700 Walnut – A report of an unauthorized person taking a vehicle sometime overnight.  The vehicle had already been located in a neighboring city.

AUTO BURGLARY

10/7/12 – 12:02 AM – 5100 Katella Ave. – A report of a vehicle window smashed and a loss of property from inside sometime in the prior two hours.  A second vehicle’s window was cracked but no entry was made into the vehicle.

10/11/12 – 3:24 PM – 10300 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of a vehicle window smashed and a loss of property from inside sometime in the prior three days.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

10/8/12 – 11:38 PM – 11900 Reagan – Traffic stop.  The officer observed suspicious property inside the vehicle and an investigation revealed the driver had just burglarized an occupied home near 3700 Howard. An 18-year-old Seal Beach man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. 

DUI

10/10/12 – 10:09 AM – 3600 Howard alley – A report of a suspicious vehicle and people digging through trash and recyclables. A Paramount woman, 48, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a warrant, and a 65-year-old Seal Beach man was arrested on suspicion of possessing of a controlled substance and possessing narcotics paraphernalia.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

10/12/12 – 6:39 PM – 4400 Farquhar – A report of a family disturbance.  A 38-year-old male transient was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and of being unable to care for himself. 

THEFT

10/12/12 – 6:09 AM – 3500 Cerritos Ave. – A report of an unauthorized person taking tools from a construction site sometime overnight.

MISCELLANEOUS

10/9/12 – 7:42 PM – 10300 Los Alamitos Blvd. – Traffic stop.  A Long Beach man, 34, was arrested for a warrant. 

10/11/12 – 5:24 PM – 3800 Katella Ave. – Traffic stop.  A 38-year-old Long Beach woman was arrested for a warrant. 

10/13/12 – 10:30 PM – 3800 Farquhar – A report of an unauthorized person cutting the victim’s utility line sometime during the day.
