Motorcyclist Flips Over Seal Beach Boulevard Guardrail

Despite the dramatic accident, the motorcyclist emerged uninjured.

A motorcyclist emerged unscathed this afternoon after he and his bike flipped over the guardrail of the Seal Beach Boulevard onramp to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway.

Just before 4 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received a report that a motorcyclist had crashed and gone flying over the guardrail.

“It looks like he probably gunned it and went flying,” said a CHP dispatcher. “He’s lucky he wasn’t hurt.”

His bike wasn’t as lucky. While the driver didn’t have to be hospitalized, the motorcycle had to be towed, according to the highway patrol. By 4:22 p.m., all lanes on the onramp where cleared.
