Man With Neck Tattoo Robs Seal Beach Bank

Man makes off with unknown amount of cash.

A man with a large neck tattoo robbed a Seal Beach bank this afternoon and fled in an older four-door sedan, police say.

At about 4:20 p.m., The Seal Beach Police Department received a report of a robbery alarm activation at the U.S. Bank in the Ralphs grocery store in Towne Center.

SBPD officers responding to the 12470 Seal Beach Boulevard address found the bank had been robbed moments earlier, according to Corporal John Scott.

Officers from the Los Alamitos Police Department helped the SBPD check the area for the man, but officials were unable to find him.

Witness described the suspect as white male 30 to 35-years-old and about five feet 11 inches tall with brown hair. He reportedly weighed about 170 pounds and was wearing blue pants, black shoes and a long sleeved blue shirt under a white t-shirt.  He also reportedly had a large tattoo on his neck.

Last seen carrying a large backpack, the man reportedly left the area in an older four-door sedan. The man made off with an unknown amount of cash.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact SBPD Detective Gary Krogman at 562-799-4100, extension 108.
