Man in Wetsuit Harasses Woman, Threatens to Drag Her Into Ocean

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

DISTURBANCE

  • 05/09/2013 — 09:17 a.m. — 1st Street — A shirtless man wearing wet pants went into a restroom and threatened to beat up people. He was described as five feet 11 inches tall with light brown hair and a tattoo on his right arm. 
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
  • 05/09/2013 — 06:23 p.m. — Balboa and Bolsa — A caller reported two men in black Nissan Sentra were cruising the area and the caller said they weren’t known in the area. The caller was reportedly concerned because of burglaries reported nearby recently. 
INJURED ANIMAL
  • 05/09/2013 —06:30 p.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard — An injured duck that appeared to have a broken wing was spotted on the street. Its companion quacked at customers nearby. Dispatchers referred the call to Long Beach Animal Care Services.  
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
  • 05/09/2013 —06:30 p.m. — Surfside— A man in a green wet suit approached a female and threatened to drag her into the water. The man was described as 26-years-old, five feet nine inches tall with blond curly hair. 
ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLE
  • 05/09/2013 — 07:40 p.m. — Birchwood — A black 1999 to 2000 Ford truck parked the wrong way near a residential area a number of times. The caller believed the owner of the vehicle was a nearby 25-year-old resident. Officers issued a ticket.
