Man Hospitalized After Coyote Creek Crash

Driver transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital after crashing through a fence.

A driver heading westbound on Katella Avenue crashed through a fence, overturning his vehicle into the Coyote Creek flood control channel.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred at 9:50 p.m. Friday, according to an Orange County Fire Authority dispatcher.

"The only person in the car was the driver, and he was transported to
Long Beach Memorial Hospital in stable condition by OCFA paramedics," Los
Alamitos police Sgt. Maria O'Connell said. "We still checking to see if
alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash."
