Only two things are certain in life: death and taxes.
And, in Orange County, you can add two more to the list: traffic and road construction.
According to the Orange County Transportation Authority, there will be plenty of closures on local freeways between Oct. 8 through Oct. 11.
Several local freeway connectors will also be closed, as well as ramps and the Seal Beach Boulevard bridge.
The reasons for the closures?
Crews will be
- working on minor demolition activity on the bridge.
- continuing falsework construction on the southbound 405 Freeway/eastbound 22 Freeway connector bridge.
- constructing the College Park West soundwall.
- preparing for demolition of the eastbound 22 Freeway / northbound 405 Freeway connector.
FULL FREEWAY CLOSURES
- Southbound I-405 Freeway Closed from the southbound I-605 to the eastbound SR-22
(Closed nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.) - Northbound I-405 Freeway Closed from Valley View Street to Seal Beach Boulevard
(Closed from 11:59 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11 until 5 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12) - Westbound SR-22 Freeway Closed at Valley View Street
