Los Alamitos Police Blotter: Drugs, Drunken Drivers and Burglaries

A home and a truck were broken into, and police arrested a couple of drunken drivers.

AUTO BURGLARY

5/10/11 – 10:30 AM – 10500 block of Calle Lee – A report of a work truck whose storage lockers were pried open and property removed sometime overnight.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

5/12/11 – 7:28 PM – 11300 block of Barbi – A report of an unauthorized person entering a residence without force and removing property sometime during the day.

DUI

5/12/11 – 8:00 AM – 5000 block of Katella Avenue – A report of a reckless driver.  A 61-year-old female from Torrance was arrested for suspicion of Driving while under the influence.

5/14/11 – 3:00 PM – Los Alamitos Blvd. and Farquhar – A report of a reckless driver. A 23-year-old Man from Lakewood was arrested for suspicion of Driving while under the influence.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

5/8/11 – 8:47 PM – 11200 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of a man down.  A 49-year-old man from Huntington Beach was arrested for suspicion of public intoxication and for a warrant out for his arrest.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

5/11/11 – 11:30 AM – 3500 Cerritos – A report of a person in possession of suspected illegal substance.  A juvenile was arrested for possession of marijuana.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

5/13/11 – 5:09 PM – 11300 Cherry – A report of an unauthorized person using the victim’s credit card information.

MISCELLANEOUS

5/10/11 – 10:49 AM – Los Alamitos Blvd. and Florista – Traffic stop.  A 51-yea-old woman was arrested for having a warrant.

5/13/11 – 4:27 PM – Florista and Walnut – Pedestrian check.  A 27-year-old Los Alamitos man was arrested for a parole warrant.
