Los Alamitos Crime: Robbery With Handgun, Residential Burglary

The weekly crime summary for Nov. 10 to Nov. 16 as reported by the Los Alamitos Police Department.

STOLEN VEHICLE

  • 11/14/13 – 10:04AM – 10800 Portal – a report of an unauthorized taking of a vehicle which occurred within the past several days. The vehicle was recovered several blocks away and returned to the owner.

ROBBERY

  • 11/11/13 – 9:58PM – 3800 Green – a report of a robbery that just occurred with the loss of personal property. The suspects were described as three Male, Blacks, 18-20 years old, 5/08-5/10, thin – medium build, wearing sweatshirts with hoods and bandanas. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.
  • 11/14/13 – 8:41PM – 3700 Green – a report of unauthorized taking of property by force. The suspects were described as three Male, Hispanics, thin, wearing sweatshirts and one Male, unknown race, wearing a sweatshirt. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

AUTO BURGLARY

  • 11/13/13 – 8:40PM – 10700 Reagan – a report of a vehicle window smash with the loss of property which occurred within the past forty minutes.
  • 11/15/13 – 7:58AM – 11100 Noel – a report unauthorized entry to a vehicle by unknown means with the loss of property which occurred overnight.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT

  • 11/10/13 – 3:17PM – 3600 Katella – a report of unauthorized entry into a business with the loss of property which occurred within the past several days.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

  • 11/14/13 – 3:46PM – 11700 Pine – a report of suspicious subjects in the rear yard of a residence. It was later discovered that the suspects entered the residence and removed personal property. The following day, an officer identified the suspects and recovered some of the stolen property. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: Male, juvenile, of Los Alamitos for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy and a Male, juvenile, of Seal Beach for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

DUI

  • 11/10/13 – 6:52AM – 3500 Katella – a traffic enforcement stop. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 28 years, of Los Angeles for driving under the influence.
  • 11/11/13 – 1:02AM – 5000 Katella – a report of a hit and run traffic collision. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, 24 years, of Anaheim for driving under the influence.

THEFT

  • 11/13/13 – 8:56PM – 3500 Cerritos – a report of unauthorized taking of personal property from an unsecured locker which occurred earlier in the day.
  • 11/14/13 – 10:59AM – 4000 Farquhar – a report of unauthorized taking of personal property from an unlocked vehicle which occurred yesterday.
  • 11/15/13 – 9:33AM – 3800 Katella – a report of unauthorized taking of property which occurred overnight.

MUNICIPAL CODE

  • 11/12/13 – 11:13PM – 4300 Katella – a report a disturbance. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, juvenile, of Los Alamitos for violation of curfew.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

  • 11/15/13 – 7:56PM – 4100 Green – a report of unauthorized use of the victim’s debit card which occurred within the past month.
