Two Sets of Brothers Reported Brawling in Los Al in Same Week

On Nov. 5 someone reported a fight between three adult brothers in a business parking lot. Three days later, two adult brothers were reported fighting in a Los Al street.

AUTO BURGLARY

11/8/12 – 8:10 PM – 4100 Cerritos Ave. – A report of a vehicle window smash and a loss of a purse from inside sometime during the prior two hours.

11/8/12 – 8:13 PM – 10500 Bloomfield St. – A report of a vehicle window smash and a loss of property from inside sometime during the prior two hours.

11/10/12 – 12:47 PM – 10500 Bloomfield St. – A report of a vehicle window smash but no loss of property sometime during the prior two hours.

11/10/12 – 12:55 PM – 10800 Bloomfield St. – A report of a vehicle window smash and a loss of a purse sometime during the prior two hours.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT

11/4/12 – 8:59 AM – 10600 Los Alamitos Blvd. – Someone posing as a customer left with property from a business during the morning.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

11/9/12 – 9:37 PM – 5000 Kearsarge – A report of an unauthorized person prying open a rear sliding door and taking property sometime during the day or evening.

ASSAULT

11/5/12 – 12:54 PM – 3600 Cerritos Ave. – A report of a fight in the parking lot of a business.  Three adult brothers were in a physical confrontation.

11/8/12 – 3:37 AM – Howard and Maple – A report of a fight in the street.  Two adult brothers were in a physical confrontation.

DUI

11/8/12 – 5:59 AM – 4000 Howard – A report of a driver slumped over at the wheel of a running vehicle stopped in the street.  A Seal Beach man, 43, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

11/7/12 – 9:33 PM – 3700 Green (alley) – A report of a disturbance in the area. A 36-year-old Los Alamitos man was arrested on suspicion of being being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and for being unable to care for himself. A Glendale man, 47 was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. 

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

11/10/12 – 9:00 AM – Katella Ave. and Lexington – Pedestrian check. A Huntington Beach man, 54 was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing narcotics parphernalia. 

THEFT

11/4/12 – 10:52 AM – 4100 Cerritos Ave. – A report of an unauthorized person taking property from a purse about five days ago.

11/8/12 – 1:50 PM – 4100 Howard – A report of an unauthorized person taking property from an unsecured vehicle sometime overnight.

MISCELLANEOUS

11/4/12 – 10:00 AM – 10800 Bloomfield St. – Someone left a threatening note at a business during the morning.

11/8/12 – 1:06 PM – Katella and Saratoga – Traffic stop.  A 35-year-old Chula Vista man and a 31-year-old Orange woman were arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools.

11/8/12 – 5:55 PM – Cerritos Ave. and Coyote Creek – A report of a solo vehicle hit and run collision and the car being abandoned at the location.

11/10/12 – 9:42 AM – 3200 Katella Ave. – A report of someone using the victim’s personal information to create a new identity.  A suspect was in custody in a nearby city.

11/10/12 – 10:24 AM – 5000 Apollo – A report of an unauthorized person damaging personal property sometime overnight.
