Garage On Crystal Cove Way Fills With Smoke
Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls reported to the Seal Beach Police Department recently.
PETTY THEFT
12/21/2012 — 12:32 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway— A suspect grabbed money from a register while the caller was in the back with a customer. The two suspects were reportedly a man and woman in their twentys. The woman had a blue fluffy beanie, and the man had tattoos on his arm.

12/22/2012 — 4:20 p.m. — Crystal Cove Way — A caller reported a garage seeing smoke coming out of a garage. It turned out to be a problem with a clothes dryer.

12/23/2012 — 1:37 a.m. — Ocean Avenue —Someone said they had found a pile of clothing on the pier, complete with wallet and keys. The person said he or she was afraid it was an attempted suicide. The police located the person, who was found safe, but intoxicated.
INJURED ANIMAL
12/23/2012 — 8:57 a.m. — Seal B Row — An injured seal was reported on the northside of the beach, in front of surf-side, about 100 feet in front of the jetty. The call was referred to the lifeguards.
BEES
12/23/2012 — 12:35 p.m. — Ironwood Avenue — A large swarm of bees was reported in the streets in front of a caller's residence. There were no city parkway trees in the area, and the bees origin was unknown.
