A Los Alamitos home was severely damaged by a fire that started in the garage Sunday morning, and a firefighter suffered a minor injury battling the blaze, according to an Orange County Fire Authority spokesman.
Two people were displaced by the fire at 2752 Walker Lee Dr. that was reported at 7:37 a.m. Firefighters arrived in about five minutes and had the fire under control at 8:46 a.m., according to the spokesman.
Authorities determined that the fire was accidental and caused $200,000 worth of damage to the structure and $100,000 worth of damage to the contents of the home. The fire spread from the garage and into the attic before it was contained.
