Father Kicks Through Dog Door, Crawls Into Daughter's Home

Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls as listed by the Seal Beach Police Department recently.

VANDALISM

12/20/2012 — 9:02 p.m. — Seal Beach and Westminster —  A male juvenile wearing a hoodie was reportedly kicking over the bus bench on the northeast corner of the street. 

RECKLESS DRIVING

12/20/2012 — 9:38 p.m. —Marina and 1st Street — A black SUV was driving recklessly and tried to knock a couple of vehicles off the road. Last seen on Marina and 1st Street.

DISTURBANCE JUVENILE

12/22/2012 — 1:29 a.m. — Crestview and Avalon —  Five juveniles were standing in the center of Avalon on their cellphones. It turned out the subjects were trying to locate a dog who had escaped.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

12/21/2012 — 9:09 a.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard  — A man in a white shirt and blue jeans and a white baseball cap was trying to get into vehicles in front of the locations and trying door handles. 

VIOLATION OF COURT ORDER

12/21/2012 — 11:22 a.m. — 10th Street —  A woman said her 45-year-old father, who has a restraining order against him, had arrived at her home. The woman was home alone and then ran to her neighbor’s residence. She said that her father’s vehicle is broken down, and she didn’t know how he got there.  The man was described as tall, balding and wearing black jacket. He reportedly kicked the dog door down and crawled into the house. The woman’s mother got on the line and reported the man was riding away on a blue and white girls Beach Cruiser bike. The man was arrested on suspicion of violating a court order and burglary.
