CVS Robbed Again, Both Times For Drugs Rather Than Money

Police are looking for an older man who robbed the CVS pharmacy on Sunday night.

For the second time in two months, someone looking for drugs rather than money robbed the on Sunday night.

This time the suspect was an older man between the ages of 55 and 65, according to seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Steve Bowles.

“This one stands out because of his age,” Bowles said.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a gray-haired man, who walked into the store just after 7 p.m. Sunday and demanded drugs.

According to police, “The suspect demanded prescription drugs from the on duty pharmacist while threatening her with a handgun that was not visible to the pharmacist.”

No one was injured, and the suspect fled on foot, according to Bowles.

The man is described as being 6’ to 6’2” tall with gray hair and a medium build. He was wearing dark clothes at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the on-duty Watch Commander of the Seal Beach Police Department at (562) 799-4115 or Detective-Sergeant Ron La/eile at (562) 799-4100 ext. 1112.

In November, the same pharmacy suffered a similar robbery when a 25 to 30-year-old man walked into the pharmacy, brandishing a handgun. In that brazen robbery, he hopped over the service counter and began grabbing medications.
