Crime: Two Men Bicker Over Backpack Full of Credit Cards

Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls reported by Seal Beach Police Department recently.

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY

  • 09/10/2012 — 3:16 p.m. — Long Beach — Officers were called to respond to a report of a man in a black Toyota Scion hiting a woman in the face. Officers were unable to locate the car.

VEHICLE CODE VIOLATIONS

  • 09/10/2012 — 4:55 P.M. — Dolphin Avenue — Peolple were riding in a go-cart in the alley between Dolphin and Ocean Avenue.  They were making noise and not wearing helmets.

DISTURBANCE – FAMILY

  • 09/10/2012 — 10:59 p.m. — 10th Street — A caller said he or she heard a man cursing at a woman in a nearby apartment. The caller also reported the sound of breaking glass. The caller didn’t see or her anything. Officers checked in and turned out to be a loud tv.

OPEN DOOR

  • 09/11/2012 — 7:23 a.m. — Ocean Avenue — While reporting an open door, a local reported that someone had written “gang-type lettering” in the dust on nearby windows.  Officers checked the interior of location with the open door, and there was nothing suspicious going on inside.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 09/11/2012 — 1:26 p.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard — Two men were reported arguing over a backpack filled with credit cards and ID cards. 

    Of the duo, both were described as in their sixties with brown hair. One was wearing a blue-tshirt, a brown hat and a yellow and black backpack. The other man was heavily tattooed and last seen wearing a blue polo shirt.
