Crime: Man Points Toy Gun at Cars, Woman Arrested for Spousal Abuse

STOLEN VEHICLE

9/12/11 – 1:10 PM – 4300 Green – A report of an unauthorized person taking a vehicle sometime in the prior 90 minutes.  The vehicle was recovered undamaged on 9/13/11 in a nearby parking lot.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

9/11/11 – 10:46 AM – 11100 Maple – A report of a bicycle stolen from a garage without force sometime in the prior two hours.

ASSAULT

9/11/11 – 7:03 AM – 3200 Katella Ave. – Suspect contacted from assault reported previously (9/9/11 – 10:21 PM – 10800 Oak).  A 51 year-old woman from Downey was arrested on suspicion of spousal abuse.

DUI

9/13/11 – 7:00 PM – Katella and Portal – A report of a single vehicle collision with a fire hydrant.  A 48 year-old man from Los Alamitos was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

9/14/11 – 11:46 PM – 10900 Los Alamitos Blvd. – Pedestrian check.  A 20 year-old man from Los Alamitos was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated in public and unable to care for himself.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

9/13/11 – 9:21 PM – 11900 Pine – Occupied vehicle check.  A 25 year-old man from Whittier, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
9/17/11 – 3:09 AM – Del Norte and Cerritos – Pedestrian check.  A 21 year-old man from Los Alamitos was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and for a warrant.

THEFT

9/14/11 – 12:19 AM – 11700 Cherry – A report of two suspicious persons walking down the street and possibly entering vehicles.  An18 years-old man from Los Alamitos was arrested on suspicion of  possession of stolen property, and a juvenile, for violation of curfew and possession of stolen property.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

9/13/11 – 6:23 PM – 10700 Walnut – A report of an unauthorized person using the victim’s credit card account.

MISCELLANEOUS

9/11/11 – 5:17 PM – Katella and Maple – A report of two people pointing a handgun at a passing vehicle.  A 19 year-old man from Los Alamitos was arrested on suspicion of exhibiting an imitation firearm in a threatening manner and altering an imitation firearm, and a male, 19 years, of Lancaster, for a warrant.
