Crash Downs Seal Beach Power Line, Jams Traffic

Officials expect a section Westminster Avenue to be clear by about 3:30 p.m. In the meantime, northbound traffic on Seal Beach Boulevard is snarled.

After a traffic collision sent a Toyota careening into a power pole this morning, the Seal Beach Police Department shut down part of Westminster Boulevard from Seal Beach Boulevard to Bolsa Chica, authorities said.

The accident has snarled traffic in and out of Seal Beach, particularly on the northbound side of Seal Beach Boulevard. Expect delays.

After 11 a.m. this morning, a silver pickup Toyota and a Honda traveling westbound on Westminster collided, according to Sgt. Ron La Velle, SBPD department spokesman.
