Couple Steals Cosmetics, 3 Toothbrushes Worth At Least $250

Also in local crime calls, two men were driving around a parking lot trying to sell home theater equipment and TVs out of an SUV.

EXTRA PATROL CHECK

  • 05/03/2013 —11:47 p.m. — The Long Beach Police Department reported a man left a note saying he was going to attempt to kill himself by jumping off a Long Beach pier. The man was described as 18-years-old with blond shaggy hair and possibly wearing a plaid button-up shirt, jeans, and a large dark backpack with pigments of colored pinstripes. LBPD said they were advising the SBPD just in case the man comes to the Seal Beach pier instead. 

PETTY THEFT

  • 05/04/2013 — 2:01 a.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — A caller said a man and a women stole some items from the store, including cosmetics and three toothbrushes worth about $250 to $300. The woman had bleached blonde hair and was about 18-years-old. They were last seen driving a ‘70s model pickup that was white in color with an orange stripe down the center.

TRAFFIC COLLISION - NO DETAIL

  • 05/04/2013 —4:03 a.m. —Candleberry and Lampson — A vehicle crashed into a center divider on Lampson. The driver tried to back the vehicle off the divider, and it got stuck. It was a dark blue or small black van.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 05/04/2013 —10:16 a.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard — Two men in a black General Motors SUV were driving around a parking lot trying to sell home theater equipment and TVs out of the vehicle. The caller thought it might be stolen property and that it seemed suspicious. The two men were in their late thirties and wearing t-shirts.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 05/04/2013 — 11:09 a.m. — Ironwood Avenue — Two women in their twenties were standing in front of the caller’s residence with a notepad. When she came home, a mail carrier told her the women contacted him and asked him which houses were vacant in the area. The women turned out to be realtors looking for information on the neighborhood.

SKATEBOARDERS

  • 05/04/2013 —2:39 p.m. —Bolsa Avenue — Two juveniles were allegedly skateboarding on the roof of the media center.
