Thief Steals Copper Wiring, Possibly Worth $1,000, From Cell Tower

Also in recent crime calls to the Seal Beach Police Department, a truck was reported driving in the center divider to pass traffic.

  • 01/30/13 - 5:32 p.m. — A Honda stalled out in the southbound emergency lane of the Seal Beach Boulevard bridge.

  • 01/31/13 - 8:15 a.m. — Adolfo Lopez and Seal Beach Boulevard. — A caller reported a large rake in the northbound lanes of Seal Beach Boulevard south of Adolfo Lopez drive. The caller was reportedly concerned for motorcyclists.

ILLEGALLY PARKED CAR

  • 01/31/13 - 9:31 a.m. - Ocean Avenue –  A blue Mercedes Benz that had been blocking the sidewalk for three days was given a ticket.

  • 01/31/13 - 1:01 p.m. - Aster Street - Someone stole copper grounding wires from a fenced-in cell site behind the tennis courts overnight. The caller said the loss was worth less than $1,000 but wasn’t certain.

RECKLESS DRIVER

  • 01/31/13 - Seal Beach Boulevard and Westminster Avenue – A white truck drove in the center divider area nearby, reportedly to pass traffic.
