Car Shears Tree and Rolls Repeatedly Across Bolsa Chica Road
A drive was critically injured in the one-car wreck.
A motorist was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash on Bolsa Chica Road at the border of Seal Beach and Westminster today, a police sergeant said.
The motorist was speeding in a silver Toyota Solara, north on Bolsa Chica Road near Churchill Avenue, when he lost control of the car, said Westminster police Sgt. Richard Mize. It struck the center median and then a palm tree, shearing the tree from the ground,
The car rolled several times before coming to rest on Bolsa Chica Road, Mize said. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 2:52 a.m.

The driver was the only person in the Toyota, was he was rushed to UCI Medical Center in Orange in critical condition. His name has not been relased.
The Westminster Police Department's Traffic Division asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (714) 893-3315.
