Caller: Man Stole Muffin, Threw Gatorade at Me

Also in Seal Beach crime calls, someone was reported traveling west on Studebaker Road at more than 100 mph.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

DISTURBANCE - VEHICLE

  • 03/05/2013 — 5:42 p.m. — Studebaker Road and Westminster Boulevard — A gray Toyota pickup traveling west on Studebaker was driving at more than 100 mph, a caller said. The caller also said the driver might be suffering road rage.

RECKLESS DRIVER

  • 03/06/2013 — 11:22 a.m. — Bolsa Avenue — A gray Saturn driven by an elderly man was reported driving recklessly in front of a school and cutting off multiple vehicles.

DISTURBANCE - JUVENILES

  • 03/06/2013 — 1:35 p.m. — Avalon Drive — Three male teens in an orange sedan were preparing to play paintball inside a nearby park. A caller said the three males were removing their paintball guns and equipment from the vehicle when the caller walked by them.

DISTURBANCE 

  • 03/07/2013 — 5:36 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — A man in his 20s stole a muffin and then threw a Gatorade at the caller, the caller said. The man was described as having brown hair and wearing a plaid jacket and a green hat. Responding officers reported no evidence of a crime.

BARKING DOG

  • 03/07/2013 — 7:55 p.m. — Beachcomber Drive — For the last three hours, dogs were reported barking inside a nearby home. The caller said it was an ongoing problem and that he or she would follow up with Long Beach Animal Care Services.
