Caller: Homeless Woman Swipes Food, Screams on Street Corner

Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls listed by the Seal Beach Police Department recently.

RECKLESS DRIVER

10/10/2012 — 3:18 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway and Seal Beach Boulevard — A blue Volkswagen was speeding and swerving all over the road and almost crashed several times.

10/10/2012 — 8:57 p.m.  — Harvard Lane — An unknown suspect hacked into a caller’s phone and computer.

10/11/2012 — 4:10 a.m. — Lampson and Basswood — Three vehicles were stopped in the street and one was on the sidewalk.  All vehicles had their hazard lights on. One of the vehicles was disabled.

PETTY THEFT

10/11/2012 — 8:45 a.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — A homeless woman in her 30s and in a gray and purple big hood sweatshirt – with the hood up -- took two packages of food. The caller said officers would find the woman screaming on a street corner.

PETTY THEFT

10/11/2012 — 10:22 a.m. — St. Andrews Drive — Someone reported some earrings, two gold necklaces and miscellaneous items from the house stolen a couple months ago. The caller suspects two people that were hired to paint the house.
