Burglar Breaks into Shed, Steals $10,000 in Cleaning Equipment

Also in local crime calls, while the residents were away, a burglar ransacked a Seal Beach home, stealing jewelry and collectibles.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

GRAND THEFT

04/15/2013 — 7:54 p.m. — Lampson Avenue — A pressure washer, a ompressor and tile cleaner worth about $10,000 were stolen sometime between 8 a.m. April 10 and 7:30 p.m. April 14. The burglar allegedly broke into a shed behind the building. 

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

04/16/2013 — 2:22 a.m. — Coastline Drive — A man driving a black Cadillac Escalade was screaming out the window.

BURGLARY REPORT

04/16/2013 — 10:19 a.m. — Hazelnut Avenue — During the night, while the residents were away, someone broke in and ransacked the home. The burglar took miscellaneous jewelry and collectables. No checks were reported missing. 

CITIZEN ASSIST

04/16/2013 — 10:30 a.m. — Westminster Avenue — A silver Nissan sedan drove over a water main in a parking lot near an office. Triple AAA was called.

DISTURBANCE

04/16/2013 — 12:48 p.m. — Ocean Avenue — Someone was screaming from inside a nearby house that he wants to kill the caller and someone else the caller knows.
