Body Found Near Seal Beach's Southern Jetty

An autopsy is scheduled for today. Police are hoping the community can help identify the deceased.

An autopsy was pending today on a man's body found face-down among some rocks near Seal Beach's southern jetty.

The body, reportedly that of a white man in his 40s with thinning brown hair and brown eyes, was reported to authorities about 9:35 a.m., Seal Beach police Sgt. Philip Gonshak said.

The shirtless man was dressed in black shorts and black, size 11 Adidas shoes with white stripes.

Anyone with more information as to the man's name was asked to call Detective Mary Martinez at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1110.
