Bikers Repair Motorcycles in Alley, Race Them on Nearby Street

Also in recent Seal Beach crime calls, someone stole a briefcase, a laptop and a vehicle grill from a white 2008 Range Rover near Electric Avenue.

PETTY THEFT

  • 02/19/2013 — 12:44 p.m. — St. Andrews Drive — Someone stole a black 2-wheeled, 10-speed bike, valued at about $400, from a carport. A second bike was also taken. The caller notes that the rusty tricycle in the carport was not taken.

LOBBY

  • 02/19/2013 — 5:03 a.m. — Electric Avenue  — Someone stole a briefcase, a laptop and a vehicle grill from a white 2008 Range Rover sometime between 7 p.m. Feb. 18 and 9 a.m. Feb. 19

TRANSIENT

  • 02/20/2013 — 9:14 a.m. — 151 Marina Drive — 21 year-old George Filbert Butler was arrested for two outstanding warrants worth a combined total of $85,000.

HARASSING PHONE CALL

  • 02/20/2013 — 3:29 p.m. — 8th Street — A woman said she was receiving text messages from an unknown person who got her information from an email. The person reportedly made threats to harm the woman and had her address.

RECKLESS DRIVING

  • 02/20/2013 — 5:47 p.m. — 10th Street — In the alley between 10th Street and Main Street, people were reportedly repairing motorcycles and then racing them on a nearby street.
