Sex Act Near Baby in Park Leads to Mom's Arrest, Police Say

A 19-year-old woman is jailed on suspicion of child endangerment after an X-rated rendezvous in a Los Alamitos park, authorities say.

Dating Tip: Don't bring the baby if you want to have sex in a park.

A Los Alamitos woman was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment last month after police allegedly found her having sex in a park while her 4-month-old child rested nearby.

Officers said they saw Sarah L. Stringer, 19, having sex with a man at Labourdette Park at 11:47 p.m. Sept. 16, according to Capt. Bruce McAlpine of the Los Alamitos Police Department.

“She appeared to be having some sort of sexual relationship in public,” McAlpine said. And that park is closed after dark, he noted.

“As it happened, she also had her infant baby with her, and the baby looked uncared for and unkempt,” McAlpine said.

Stringer, who had allegedly met the man on the Internet, was arrested, and the baby was released to a family member.

The case was sent to the Orange County District Attorney’s office for review, according to McAlpine.
