$5,000 Patio Furniture Set Stolen

Also in recent Seal Beach crime calls, four skaters were reported stopping traffic, and grabbing onto cars as they drove by.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

PETTY THEFT

  • 05/07/2013 —10:59 p.m.—Medinac Lane — A caller reported a tricycle stolen between 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. The missing item was described as Torker Trike worth about $400. The bike had a rear chrome basket and a Leisure World identification number on it. 
GRAND THEFT
  • 05/08/2013 — 09:58 a.m. — Electric — Someone stole a patio furniture set worth $5,000 from a front porch. The caller heard noises around midnight and suspected the theft occurred at the same time. 
FAMILY DISTURBANCE 
  • 05/08/2013— 4:11 p.m.—Electric and Main— A man in his thirties wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie and blue jeans was screaming loudly at a woman. The woman was described as in her mid-30s, with black hair in a ponytail and wearing a black shirt and pants.
DISTURBANCE JUVENILES
  • 05/08/2013 — 05:29 p.m. — Seal Beach Boulevard — Four 15-year-old male skaters were stopping traffic and grabbing onto cars as they drove by. The caller said earlier the skaters were trying to take a cart full of items.
PETTY THEFT
  • 05/08/2013 — 07:31 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway— A caller said that a man had taken items from a local business, but the caller didn’t know what the man took. The man was described as in his mid-40s wearing a grey baseball cap and a green backpack. Dispatchers noted officers were unable to confirm a crime had occurred.
