405, 605 Freeway Connectors Closed Nightly Through Friday

The Northbound 405 Freeway between Valley View Street and Seal Beach Boulevard will also be offline nightly from Wednesday through Friday.

Here's the latest information on what freeways and connectors will be closed through Friday night, according to the Orange County Transportation Authority.

1. Northbound I-405 Freeway between Valley View Street and Seal Beach Boulevard

o Closed from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, November 14 to 5 a.m. Thursday, November 15; closed from 11:59 p.m. Thursday, November 15 to 5 a.m. Friday, November 16

  • I. DETOUR: From the northbound I-405 exit Valley View Street (turn left on Garden Grove Boulevard), turn left on Valley View Street, turn right on Westminster Avenue and continue west, then turn right on Studebaker Road to access the westbound SR-22 on-ramp or the northbound I-405 on-ramp OR continue north on Studebaker Road, then turn right on Willow Street to access the northbound I-605 on-ramp
  • II. DETOUR: From the westbound SR-22 exit Valley View Street and turn left, turn right on Westminster Avenue and continue west, then turn right on Studebaker Road to access the westbound SR-22 on-ramp or the northbound I-405 on-ramp OR continue north on Studebaker Road, then turn right on Willow Street to access the northbound I-605 on-ramp

2. Southbound I-405 Freeway

o Closed between Studebaker Road and Bolsa Chica Avenue, from 11 p.m. Tuesday, November 13 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, November 14

o Closed between Studebaker Road and Seal Beach Boulevard, from 11 p.m. Wednesday, November 14 to 5 a.m. Thursday, November 15; from 11 p.m. Thursday, November 15 to 5 a.m. Friday, November 16; and from 11 p.m. Friday, November 16 to 7 a.m. Saturday, November 17

  • I. DETOUR: From the southbound I-405 exit Seal Beach Boulevard and turn left, turn left on Westminster Avenue, proceed east on Westminster Avenue to access the southbound I-405 on-ramp OR turn left on Bolsa Chica Road, then turn right on Garden Grove Boulevard to access the eastbound SR-22 on-ramp

3. Westbound SR-22 Freeway at Valley View Street

o Closed from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, November 14 to 5 a.m. Thursday, November 15; from 11:59 p.m. Thursday, November 15 to 5 a.m. Friday, November 16

  • I. DETOUR: From the westbound SR-22 exit Valley View Street and turn left, turn right on Westminster Avenue and proceed west, then turn right on Studebaker Road to access the westbound SR-22 on-ramp or continue north on Studebaker Road to access the northbound I-405 on-ramp

Connector Closures

Several local freeway connectors will be closed nightly this week, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

1. Northbound I-405 Connector to Northbound I-605 Freeway

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night

  • I. DETOUR: From the northbound I-405 exit Valley View Street (turn left on Garden Grove Boulevard), turn right on Valley View Street and continue north, then turn left on Katella Avenue to access the northbound I-605 on-ramp

2. Southbound I-605 Connector to Southbound I-405 Freeway

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night

  • I. DETOUR: From the southbound I-605 exit Katella Avenue and turn right, turn right on Valley View Street (becomes Bolsa Chica Road), continue south on Bolsa Chica Road to access the southbound I-405 on-ramp 

3. Eastbound SR-22 Connector to Southbound I-405 Freeway

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night

  • I. DETOUR: From the eastbound SR-22 / 7th Street, exit Studebaker Road and turn left, turn left on East 2nd Street (becomes Westminster Avenue), proceed east on Westminster Avenue to access the southbound I-405 on-ramp

4. Eastbound SR-22 Connector to Northbound I-605 Freeway

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night

  • I. DETOUR: From the eastbound SR-22 exit Studebaker Road and turn right, continue north on Studebaker Road, then turn right on Willow Street to access the northbound I-605 on-ramp 

5. Southbound I-405 / Southbound I-605 Connectors to Westbound SR-22 / 7th Street

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night

  • I. DETOUR: From the southbound I-405 exit Studebaker Road and turn right, continue south on Studebaker Road to access the westbound SR-22 / 7th Street on-ramp
  • II. DETOUR: From the southbound I-605 exit Willow Street and turn right, turn left on Studebaker Road and proceed south to access the westbound SR-22 / 7th Street on-ramp

Ramp Closures

The following local freeway on- and off-ramps will be closed nightly this week, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. See below for specific dates.

1. Westbound SR-22 Valley View Street On-Ramps

o Closed Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday night

  • I. DETOUR: From Valley View Street / Bolsa Chica Road proceed south, turn right on Westminster Avenue, then turn right on Studebaker Road to access the westbound SR-22 / 7th Street on-ramp
