22-Year-Old Killed in 605 Crash
A 22-year-old from Huntington Beach died in the crash that sent a truck careening off the 605 and into a tree in Los Alamitos.
Authorities today released the name of a man killed when his vehicle went off the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway and crashed into a tree in Los Alamitos.
He was 22-year-old Justin Messerschmidt of Huntington Beach, according to the Orange County coroner's office.
The crash that killed Messerschmidt was reported on the southbound 605 just south of Katella Avenue at 5:58 p.m. Sunday. His white Chevrolet Silverado went off the road and crashed into a tree, killing him on impact, the California Highway Patrol reported.
