$11,000 Diamond Ring Reported Stolen
Here are five odd, interesting or important crime calls reported by the Seal Beach Police Department recently.
PROWLER
- 12/20/12 — 6:27 a.m. — Seal Way — A man reportedly put a white chair up against the window of a residence and was looking inside. The man was described as in his 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and "scruffy looking." He was also reported wearing dark jeans and last seen heading toward Electric Avenue.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN CAR
- 12/20/2012 — 10:21 A.M. — Ocean Avenue and 3rd Street — A large green truck was backed into a driveway, and a number of people were standing around it. The caller thought it was suspicious. It turned out the truck was involved in emergency water system repair.
GRAND THEFT

- 12/20/2012 — 11:12 a.m. — Del Monte Drive — Two opal pendants valued at $918.93 and a diamond ring valued at $11,000 were reported stolen. The caller said they went missing sometime within the past two months.
DISTURBANCE- MUSIC
- 12/20/2012 — 8:44 p.m. — 1st Street — A woman in a nearby apartment was reported playing loud music. The caller said there had been problems with the neighbor before. The police spoke to the woman who said she would comply.

- 12/20/12 — 8:57 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway and Seal Beach — A white GMC Yukon pulling a boat was reported cutting off other vehicles and traveling 80 mph or more.
