100 Pairs of Sunglasses Reported Stolen

Also in local crime calls, someone reported a suspect had burned items in a display case and other locations on a Bolsa Avenue school campus.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log. 

VANDALISM REPORT

  • 04/15/2013 — 7:56 A.M. — Bolsa Avenue — An unknown suspect opened a display case and burned items inside it. The person also burned other items at other locations on campus. 

BURGLARY REPORT

  • 04/15/2013 — 8:51 a.m. — Pacific Coast Highway — Someone reported 100 pairs of sunglasses stolen sometime between 7 p.m. and the time of the call. The victim is located just north of Seal Beach.

WELFARE CHECK

  • 04/15/2013 — 12:08 p.m. — Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street — A female transient was on the ground on the corner of the south side of PCH. The caller approached the woman, who was unresponsive. However, when the caller told the transient the caller was going to call for ambulance, the transient said, “I’m fine. Go away.” Then she lay back down. The caller said the woman did not look well.

PETTY THEFT REPORT

  • 04/15/2013 — 6:19 p.m. — Main Street — Someone stole a body suit valued at $112 at about 4 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT

  • 04/15/2013 — 10:38 p.m. — 13th Street — A caller who had reported his bike stolen yesterday was on a walk today, found his bike on the boardwalk and took it home.
