'Hope Springs' Ticket Giveaway Contest Winners

Check to see if you won tickets from Patch to see the new Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones movie, "Hope Springs."

Let's see who will be getting some free "Spring" in their marital step.

In a sponsored contest, Patch asked  to tell us why they and their spouse needed to see the new Sony Pictures flick Hope Springs for a chance to win a pair of free tickets.

Winners will be able to see the movie—starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell—at the nearest movie theater. So here are the top six reasons submitted by our readers as to why they need to see this movie:

  •  With three kids and two careers, getting out and spending time with eachother seems to constantly get bumped down on the priority list in favor of shuttling kids to their varied activities, cleaning the house (that mysteriously became dirty again after having just cleaned it the day before), or 'fill-in-the-blank' emergency that needs to get taken care of. We've been married for 17 years and together for over 21 years, dating since high school. We are still best friends and love spending time with just each-other (and if we win, a couple hundred other people). Thanks for considering our entry.
  •  It is a movie that addresses the real in marriage. The main reason I would love to see this with my husband because it will remind us of all the funky times. We just made 24 years this july and a movie like this would make us laugh and thats the whole point. If you can't laugh at all the dumb ass moments in life then getting tgrough all of them will be oh so much harder. One thing my huband and i have learned is that we continue to learn about each other on. A daily basis. You could know someone your whole life and yet spending time with them iss when you realize certain thing that makes you appreciate them even more. Why i want these tickets for is to live, love and laugh with my husband on a date. We never really go to the movies together and i miss that kind of sharing with him. I always end up seeing films with our grown children and thats nice but its time for mom and dad to see something together.
  •  It's been so long since my husband and I have had a "date night" that it would be irionic to get to see this particular movie. With very few opportunities to go out to dinner wtihout the kids or even vacation together (after 19 years of marriage) it would be nice to go to an "adult" movie and hold hands without a youngster sitting on our laps or spilling the popcorn ....though there is no guarantee that we wouldn't still spill the popcorn.
  •  Although my husband would have to be bribed or tied up to attend the film with me, we are like Meryl and Tommy Lee in the film--totally stuck in a dull routine. It'd be a fun uptick in our coupledom!
  •  Just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary July 18th. With so many other financial priorities (2 kids) it's difficult to afford a "date night". Seeing a movie that we can both relate to would be very refreshing.
  •  Not to say that we are busier or more stressed out then anybody else who has commented; My wife and I are juggling caregiving for my mother who is battling cancer, my wife's job search, keeping our 6 year old busy, and hosting my mother-in-law who has been staying with us for the past 10 weeks. That being said, these tickets would allow wifey and me a night out to enjoy a nice dinner, catch a movie, and perhaps just have some nice conversation afterwards. Ah, the simple things.

Congrats to all our winners.
