Spaghettini? You're kidding me. As a foodie I have a deep desire to pay a fair price for the best I can find. Spags is overpriced, generally poorly cooked and presented in an atmosphere where the wait staff, although friendly, acts like they are serving the drudges. I ate there once just after it opened, and once about a year ago, and both times had the same treatment and the same quality food. Having a choice between Kobe and Spags, Kobe wins hands down. While both Spags and Kobe claim to be high end quality, only Kobe comes close. The Italian food served at Macaroni Grill is better than Spags, and at a fraction of the cost. As for Pizza, the kids aren't wrong. Valentino's across from the high school, while slightly more expensive than most of the others, is by far the best quality thin crust in the area. If you leave the area and want an East Coast experience then take the time to go to Renato's Restaurant - 15383 Brookhurst St Westminster, CA 92683. (714) 839-5755. Without a doubt the closest you can come to a New York slice in CA. Lot's of richness in the cheese and topping are never skimped on. As for deep dish, there is no one in CA who has any idea how to make a Chicago style deep dish. And that's just a pity.
