Southland Credit Union Sugar Beet Festival and Sugartown Challenge

The Festival will feature bands,
local youth performing groups, various contests (pie-eating, cooking, photo,
etc.) and all kinds of exhibitors. And what would a festival be without great
food and, of course, a beer garden?

The day starts off with
the 5k-ish Sugartown Challenge – a fun obstacle run spread out over two courses.  Runners first tackle obstacles at the Shops
at Rossmoor, then take a short, fun ride aboard the Big Red Bus to Old Town Los

Al where the race will continue through St. Isidore Plaza, Trend Offset

Printing and the streets and alleys of Old Town Los Alamitos.

Over 30 non-profits are participating in the race  -- with each one receiving up to $20 per each
runner they register.  Help you favorite
non-profit by signing up at www.sugarbeetfestival.com.
