ELECTION DATE: Nov. 4, 2014. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

OFFICES TO BE FILLED: Three Members of the Los Alamitos City Council

TERM OF OFFICE: Four years

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY:  Registered voter (18 years old) in the city of Los Alamitos at the time nomination papers are issued

NOMINATION PERIOD:  Monday, July 14, through 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8, 2014

CITY CLERK OFFICE HOURS:    Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., alternate Fridays: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed alternate Fridays

REQUIRED WHEN FILING FOR NOMINATION: $25 Filing Fee

SEAL BEACH

NEXT ELECTION: Nov. 4, General Municipal Election 

Seats up for election in the City of Seal Beach: City Council - three seats 

  • Ellery Deaton representing District 1 (Old Town and Surfside)
  • Gordon Shanks representing District 3 (Hill-Bridgeport-Trailer Park-Heron Pointe) - termed out
  • Michael Levitt representing District 5 (Leisure World) - termed out

Filing period starts July 14 and ends Aug. 8 

Seal Beach consolidates its regular elections with statewide elections held on the first Tuesday of November of even numbered years to fill expired City Council and City Clerk terms and conducts elections in accordance with the California Elections Code and local regulations.
