Water Taxi Links To Belmont Pier
Media and Community Partners Preview New AquaLink Stop at Belmont Pier.
Long Beach Transit Thursday introduced the AquaLink Water Taxi's newest stop, at the Belmont Pier.
The route the water taxi will follow takes riders from the Pier to Alamitos Bay Landing and on to the Queen Mary, then back, for a $5 fee. Seal Beach residents can catch the boat at the Alamitos Bay and get to the Queen Mary or Shoreline Village usually in less time than it takes to drive.
Service will begin Saturday and run through September 11, 2011.

The water taxi, which can accommodate up to six bicycles, also features a snack bar and alcoholic beverages. The taxi, which is rarely crowded, can be a fun way to head into Long Beach for a night on the town without having to drive. It’s also an affordable adventure for taking the kids on a summer boat ride to the arcade at Shoreline Village – the route passes Terminal Island and lots of sea lions hanging out on the buoys.
