For nearly three hours, an overturned big rig blocked the northbound San Gabriel (605) Freeway just north of San Diego (405) Freeway this afternoon.
The accident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. when the big rig flipped over, according to the California Highway Patrol. There were no other vehicles involved, no spills onto the freeway and no injuries. However, it took until about 4 p.m. for the trailer to be pulled out of the 1 and 2 lanes of the transition.
While the wreck caused afternoon delays, it was cleared in time for rush-hour traffic.
