Two Men Seen Fighting on Seal Beach Boulevard

Also in local crime calls, a baby hawk left its nest and was found on a greenbelt.

Editor's Note: The following crime calls were made to the Seal Beach Police Department and listed on the SBPD dispatch log.  

DISTURBANCE

  • 05/29/2013 – 7:26 a.m. – 405 Freeway & Seal Beach Boulevard – A man in a white Toyota Yaris was yelling at the caller as they were driving southbound on Seal Beach Boulevard near the 405 Freeway. The caller described the man as in his 40s,  wearing a baseball cap and glasses. The caller requested an area check, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

  • 05/29/2013 – 8:06 a.m. – 10th and Electric – A baby hawk was spotted out of its nest on the greenbelt. Before Long Beach Animal Care Services arrived, the baby hawk hopped back into the tree. LBACS said they would check on the animal just in case.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

  • 05/29/2013 – 12:02 p.m. – Oleander Street – A man in his 20s standing outside a residence kept looking around like he was waiting for someone. He wore a grey shirt and blue shorts and carried something in his hands. Then he walked towards Dogwood and got in a white Chevy Astro van. The vehicle sped off and the police later arrived to check with the man. It turned out he was gardening in the area.

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE

  • 05/29/2013 – 8:16 p.m. – Seal Beach Boulevard – Two boys and two girls, all about 13-years-old, harassed a security guard. Parents of the teenagers arrived at the parking lot about 30 minutes later, and the security guard spoke with them about the children.

DISTURBANCE

  • 05/30/2013 – 12:01 p.m. – Seal Beach Boulevard – A man in his 30s wearing all blue with a straw hat was reported fighting with a man in his 50s. No weapons were seen. One of the men may have been injured. Other people stood by them and appeared to be involved. The man in blue then walked away toward the parking lot.
