State Beaches Hike Parking Fees for Fourth of July

A number of local holiday hotspots will get a little more expensive on Independence Day.

If your Fourth of July plans include spending the day at local state beaches,
be prepared to pay more for parking, according to a report in the Huntington Beach Independent.

Huntington State Beach, Bolsa Chica State Beach and Crystal Cove State Park will charge visitors $20 to park, instead of $15 on the Fourth of July, following a recommendation approved last week by the California Coastal Commission, the newspaper reported.
